James Spader立刻变成了那个法庭上的摇头摆尾、张牙舞爪的Alan Shore。站起身来，双手整理并系好西服的纽扣——跟法庭上的表现一模一样。
“Oh, my goodness!” 从此便开始了Alan Shore的表演。他在挖苦自己是从黑帮偷钱，他在自己的老板面前插科打诨，他质问奖项的公平性以展现其律师本色。特别是最后那个斜身弹出右手，送出飞吻的动作，使剧集里面的一幕幕又栩栩如生！
“An actor with a taste for extremes, James Spader has forged a career built upon exploring the darker side of human nature.”——这是ABC上面评价James Spader的一段话。
